Betty McGeehan

McGeehan is self-taught. As a child she was denied art lessons but instead fueled her own career as a sculptor. Her work is an example of the great potential that lies with us all.

"My sculptures are born form a sense of peace, rhythm and wisdom I have acquired from 50 years of artistic exploration. The flow of form, which I weave into distinct bold lines, speaks of my playful, optimistic navigation of life within a more confined structure."

"The works are a range of sizes. They are not the result of a preplanned compositional framework but evolve as each new component interacts with those already in the composition. I have a specific process, and the designs are purely intuitive."
